GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT)
The GWO Basic Technical Training modules form the structural engineering foundation required for technicians entering mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic turbine maintenance roles.
Course Overview
This training covers hands-on mechanical adjustments, electrical schematics, and hydraulic circuit configurations. It addresses basic hazards associated with heavy machinery industrial operations.
Core Modules Included
- Mechanical Systems: Bolted joints, precision torque parameters, braking assemblies, and gear installation protocols.
- Electrical Circuits: Reading circuit diagrams, checking voltage states, utilizing multimeters, and mastering Lockout-Tagout safety.
- Hydraulic Controls: Actuator controls, fluid pressure checks, valve operation models, and high-pressure fluid hazard reduction.
Course Duration
The standard multi-module configuration runs over 5 consecutive days of technical laboratory classes and workshop exercises.
Certification Validity
Once logged in your GWO WINDA registry database, this baseline technical engineering qualification remains permanently valid with no expiry date.
Course Entry Requirements
- An active, valid GWO WINDA Delegate account tracking code.
- Basic numerical understanding and technical literacy to manage tools and schematics safely.
